Hello BEVERLY KILLZ and welcome to Rocknation.
Congrats on your new album “Iguana Mulata” that was
released on Perris Records. Please tell us about your two
favorite tracks and what they mean to you.
Thanks a lot; it’s a great pleasure to work with Tom again.
About the songs..it’s hard to choose because it’s like picking
your favourite son LOL. If we really have to, one might be Take
Me, Hate Me (AZZ). Despite it’s catchy melody it’s about escaping addiction and falling back, as you
“can’t make the past go away”. Also it’s a good calling card for our music. And then “After the rain”..it
shows the romantic, melancholic side of Beverly Killz.. probably the kind of song that even the
non-rockers can appreciate. It’s about seeing a loved one in a dark place an and being there to guide
          her to serenity and light.

You released a lyric video for “Take Me, Hate Me (AZZ)” Please tell us about the making of it,
will there be any more videos released soon?
Yes, Take Me, Hate Me wasn’t meant to be a single until Vince found this videomaker who created a
nice lyric video and it immediately convinced us it could be interesting as a first taste of the new album.
We are working on other videos, lyric videos again..so stay tuned!

Who did the music and lyric writing for this release?
About the music it’s been really a collective effort. Every song has its story, some came with a more
definitive structure from one of us, others were just created piece by piece by jamming together. From
the lyrics perspective Vince takes most of the credit with a couple of songs written by Andre.

          Who mixed the music
          and where did you
          record these tracks at?
          The album was mixed by
          Matteo Magni at
          Mignitude studio, where
          we also recorded the
          drums. Everything else we
          recorded here and there at
          home studios and our
          legendary garage. It took
          really a long time, we
made a point to have the
          best possible album in
          terms of arrangements,
          tracking and mix without
          settling for compromises.
