       BOB DEE PETRO
    VOODOO MOONSHINE

            WITH

Hello Bob Dee and welcome to Rocknation. Congrats to your new release titled
“Stun Gun”. What is your favorite track from that?
Hi Tom, thank you for the interview, always great to talk to you and Rock Nation
My favorite track ... would have to be “Down” I love playing the riff live it’s a fan favorite
for sure. I wrote the song coming back from my West Coast tour on the plane, support for
ENuff Z’nuff ..when I was in Los Angeles, I was influenced by all the guitars out there
I played with guitarist Ronny North and we roomed together on the tour.. great player..
I must mention Liza Sanchez on bass and Jason Russo on drums for that tour
The tour was booked by my Metalbabe friend Alison Masson at MBM LLC.
Whenever we play the song live wow I feel the goose bumps on my arms we crank it up loud! A fan favorite and works well in our setlist.

Your “Stun Gun” release has received a lot of great press reviews overseas please tell us about that.
Yes I am so happy with the response around the world.. I went in a heavier direction this time all guitar riffs and the press loved it, they got it!
My last two albums were more about the hit singles “Socially Awkward” and “Fight” so this time around I wanted to record something for me and my heart
with all guitars. I didn’t worry about the press or singles charts etc .. Just great lyrics and heavy riffs and it paid off.. We are all stoked!!

Has your style or sound changed since your last release “KILLSTAR”?
Great question.. over the last 4 years I released two albums with pop rock singles, I felt like I was rushed in the studio in New York City, because of budget
and time. I always wanted to spend more time and work on my guitar sound. After I came back from Los Angeles .. I wrote the “StunGun” album.. I found
a studio in Upstate NY through my friend Kelly Yacco, Kelly ended up playing drums on the album and Scott Henderson played bass.. I stayed at my
parents house and pulled out my vintage collection of guitars stored upstate.. I used my Gibson 1976 Les Paul Custom and my DAWK custom guitar..
I have my Voodoo amps and DR strings endorsements.. I had a blast recording guitars for the album, it was a rewarding ZEN experience .. I had Lou
Giordano (Goo Goo Dolls) mix it and ALex Saltz (Stryper, Vampire Weekend) master the album.

A flashback question. I read somewhere one of you idols Brian Connolly from Sweet wanted you to join and record with him. Please
     tell us about that.
Yes Tom, great story .. I was on my honeymoon in the Bahamas mid 1980’s with my first ex-wife and we were sitting by the pool and Brian Connolly and
his girl walks in and hangs with us we went back to my room and I played him my songs on cassette and he loved my style and he wanted me to play
guitar in the new “Sweet” he was putting together, the craziest thing was he would call me all hours of the night and talk for an hour at a time and I just
kept telling him to send money to fly me over.. it was an awesome moment in time talking with one of my idols.

You have a smokin hot new bass player, where did you find her?
Well, actually Alison Jones has been with me for awhile now since my “Up All Night” Album she is on bass in my “Lips That Heal” video, she took a break
for a bit and has been back for awhile now.. she definitely brings in her own fan base and she plays an awesome bass when we play with her. She rocks
old school. Love her and love playing with her We all love playing with her TJ Jordan on guitar, Scott Campbell on drums and Mike Maenza plays drums
     in my videos.

How has the pandemic affected you?
My heart goes out to some of my friends fans around the world who had the Covid, always prayers to all my fans around the world. I had a different
experience though the 3 month lockdown in New York City.. it seemed like everyone around the world was home, they all kept
buying my CD’s T-shirts merch and tons of emails letters gifts from around the world all worried
about me and some would say “Hey Bob I just bought your full catalog” or “Hey Bob I didn’t know
you were still playing” every morning I would read these amazing heartfelt emails and letters from
fans it kept me going and saved me from getting down and sick.

Thank you for taking time for this interview. Any last words to the fans?
I want to say thank you to all my fans around the world, thank you for helping me get through this
tough time and I am happy my music got you through this tough time too
Be safe and take care, I hope to see you all next year!! Rock On
