Gunta Douglas

I have known Gunta Douglas since 1972. As President of Kuby
& Associates, Inc., an international management training and
development corporation, she recruited me to conduct basic
and advanced management skills for the staff and volunteers
of the LEGSC for at least 20 years. During that time I have seen
her integrate and demonstrate the latest skills for excellence
and consistently and passionately serve the organization in
numerous capacities. Based on the criteria for the tribute: to
be forever etched in Girl Scout History I honestly believe that no
one is more deserving of this distinction than Gunta Douglas.

Brenda Heidinger
A young excited 8 year old girl became a Brownie Girl Scout.
Today that young girl is a greatly admired adult Girl Scout. She
earned many badges and fun patches as well as her Silver and
Gold Awards. She touched and enriched the lives of many girls
and adults. She worked with girl programs, taught sign language
and coordinated trips to COSI and presented numerous Gold
Awards. She served six years as President of GSLTRC and
worked countless hours in merging the 5 councils. She has
served as Secretary and President of GSNEO. She embodies
being a sister to every Girl Scout and she is defnitely a woman
of courage, confdence and character. In tribute to Brenda’s
devotion and love of Girl Scouting, we honor her.
