Dear Mr. Bloomberg:

I am writing to thank Mr. Mike Bloomberg and Bloomberg Philanthropies for the scholarship that I
received. My name is Nina Wyatt and I am a third-year student in the Morehouse School of
Medicine Medical Degree Program. I am originally from Fayetteville, Ga., and received my
undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology from Hampton University, along with my Masters
Degree from Morehouse School of Medicine.

This scholarship has helped me more than you could imagine. During my undergraduate and two
graduate programs I have hit a few unexpected financial bumps in the road. So this scholarship
means more than I can express on paper.

Once obtaining my medical degree I would like to pursue a career to Urology or Surgical Oncology,
fields that have really piqued my interest.

I would like to close by saying that obtaining a degree is neither easy nor inexpensive. But I believe it
is my destiny to assist in healing, nurturing, educating, and caring for those around me. You are
helping to make that happen.
