Dear Mr. Bloomberg:

I am writing to thank you and Bloomberg Philanthropies for the scholarship that I received.
I am truly thankful for this contribution toward my pursuit of becoming a physician.

Upon applying to medical school, one of my greatest concerns was the cost associated with
attendance. However, I was determined not to allow the expenses of a higher education deter me
from pursuing my dreams.

In my undergraduate studies, I attended Tuskegee University, receiving a Bachelor of
Science in Biology. I am now a proud MD candidate of the 2023 class at Morehouse School of
Medicine. I plan to become an internal medicine physician with a focus on integrative medical
practices. I would like to improve health outcomes in underserved and minority communities by
implementing more holistic and preventative health measures.

With your generous donation, I will be able to achieve my goal of becoming an amazing
physician without such a great financial burden. Thank you, Mr. Mike Bloomberg and Bloomberg
Philanthropies, for recognizing the health disparities in the Black community and deciding to invest
in the education of Black medical students to save Black lives.
