Dear Mr. Bloomberg:

I am writing to thank Mr. Mike Bloomberg and Bloomberg Philanthropies for the
scholarship that I received. I truly appreciate your support. It is life-changing.
One of the biggest barriers to completing my dream was a lack of financial support. Your
donation will make it easier for me to focus more on my future and less on repaying the debt that
comes with pursuing a medical degree..
I did not grow up with a silver spoon in my mouth, but I did grow up with an impeccable
work ethic and the knowledge that the only way to truly fail is to quit. My father instilled in me
the importance of getting an education. My mother instilled in me the importance of pursuing a
career that I can be passionate about.
I am a member of the Class of 2024. I currently aspire to serve the underserved
community as an internal medicine/pediatric physician. Upon completing my residency and
establishing my practice, I want to create a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping
individuals like me reach their goals more efficiently.
Your scholarship will help me realize my dreams, and in turn I will help others realize
their dreams, too. Your gift will have an exponential impact, and I want you to know that your
