Dear Mr. Bloomberg:

I am writing to thank you and Bloomberg Philanthropies for the scholarship that I received.

Navigating the financial burden that comes with being a medical student has been a
challenge. This donation will significantly help alleviate that stressor so I can focus on my dream of
pursuing medicine.

It is amazing to see that someone supports Morehouse’s mission, a mission I truly believe in.

I am originally from a small town in South Georgia called Adel. I moved to Atlanta when I
graduated from high school to start my college career and I have been here ever since. I am currently
a third-year medical student and have dreams of becoming a practicing psychiatrist. In my (rare) free
time, I enjoy watching movies, going to the park, and spending time with my family.

Once again, I would like to thank Bloomberg Philanthropies for this generous donation. The
support you have shown on my path toward medicine is greatly appreciated. This kind gesture is not
taken lightly.
