I am writing to thank you and Bloomberg Philanthropies for the extremely generous scholarship
donation.

I am a third-year medical student at Morehouse School of Medicine. My goal is to become an
OB/GYN and advocate who helps to educate others and manage the health of the underserved.
While doing so, I hope to work to alleviate some of the health, financial, and educational disparities
that African Americans face in this country.

Your donation to African-American students like me allows me to worry a lot less about the
financial burden of medical school and focus more on working to find solutions to current
healthcare inequities.

As a first-generation medical student, I have often found myself worrying about the financial burden
of school. Your scholarship has truly lifted a load from my shoulders. Thank you again for your
investment in my future!
