Mr. Cox is the teacher with whom we have most fun. He can even
make X, Y. and Z’s interesting.
Our singing lessons are taken by Mr. Weise.
“There is a young man called Mr. Weise.
Whose favourite saying is. ‘Sing up. please’.’’
We wish the Seniors, Juniors, and Scholarships, the best of luck in
the forthcoming big examinations, but hope they won't need it. Don’t worry.
we'll lie doing Junior ourselves next year, and will have to endure its attend
ant evils such as jitters, butterflies, etc.
FORM 3D - -
Now let us talk of Vitamins,
Of cabbages and sausage rolls,
Of all those deeper inner things.
That Physiology controls.
Of Dior Line and Baby Care,
These things with other lessons share.
The hollow spaces in our heads.
From the dark, inky depths of 3A2 comes the small, exhausted voice
of Form 3D. We are often the victims of these hardworking (?) beings of
3A2. We reside, partly in a small murky corner of Room 15, and in the
spacious rooms of the Home Science Section.
As a class (four to be exact) we have our special likes and dislikes.
We like physiology experiments. especially those, which require us to rise at
4 o’clock in the morning (freezing!) to carry out: practical cooking (sweet
making), and making delicious coffee. But we dislike writing up experiments,
Mondays, and trying to understand Shakespeare.
Pam Patterson is our top girl and is keen on ball games. Beth Coventon,
our North Queenslander, is a good runner. Sandra Batchelor is well known
for her theatrical talents. Edna Guyomar is our Form Captain, meaning-
lessly though it may seem.
We would like to take this opportunity of extending our sincere thanks
to all our teachers, especially to Mr. Cox who has done a splendid job as
Form Teacher. Also we wish all examinees the best of luck In their final
examinations.
FORM 4A1--
Form Teacher: Mr. Hazell.
Form Captains: Stuart McDonald; Jocelyn Fleming,
Shining with genius, burning with industry, swimming in School Spirit,
the demi-gods of 4A1 flash across the dull school scene as lightning flashes in
a stormy black sky.
Academic honours go to Eunice Clarke and Jocelyn Fleming — foremost
amongst our athletes being Junior Athletics Champion (and we anticipate
future Olympic star) Judy Turnbull.
Judy and mate Barbara were G.P.S. ball games representatives.
Versatile Heather Sands represented the school in swimming, athletics,
and baskeball—her companions in this lost sport being Robyn, Eunice, Jenny,
and Jocelyn, who covered themselves with mud and glory during the season.
Of the boys, Peter Martin shows distinct talent for sprinting, and skip-
