No inter-school competition yet exists for squash, but we hope that in a
few vears this will eventuate. Nevertheless, the competition is very fierce every
Wednesday as the teams battle out the draw to decide the winners for that
week Considerable interest is shown in the third court, where Wynnum North
girls play under the direction of Miss Rohde, and some “inter-school” matches
        have been played.
Finally, we would like to extend thanks to the proprietors of Wynnum
squash courts for their co-operation, and to Mr. Bundesen for his time and
                            invaluable assistance.

                            VOLLEY BALL
                            (Bloodied, but Undaunted)

This summer, Volley Ball proved so popular that an “A” and a
        “B” team
were chosen. The captains. Margo Wright and Lyn Lewis, tried valiantly to coach
us, and despite the desperate efforts of Miss J arret (many thanks), we were two
unsuccessful teams. The cause of our defeats was mainly that however hard we
“socked it” to the opposition, they returned harder, faster and better than us
(in most cases; but not all). But. this aside, we had an enjoyable time in the
competition, and the social aspect was most beneficial to us.
