Athletics: Pauline Davis (Queensland champion shot-putt and discus).
            In inter-house sports, Pauline, in the under 14 100 yards championship,
        broke the record (12.5 secs.) set in 1958. Her time was 12 secs. As seen above,
        we are not a very energetic class otherwise.
            Form 3C 1 likes : Breaking class rule "Quiet"; 3 o'clock bell; holidays.
            Form 3C I dislikes : P.T.; detention; unable to talk in Maths. A.
            We extend our best wishes to examination candidates.

                           We are a very studious class,
                             In every exam, we always pass;
                           Our teachers do their very best
                           To make us better than the rest.
            Apart from being a studious class, we have a keen interest in sport.
        Adrian Sellers and Leigh Graham are the Rugby League players in the class.
        Ian Woodbine, Darryl Kopp and Bob Satterson are the soccer players. The girls
        also take a keen interest in sport. Beverley Reardon played hockey for one of
        the school teams, while Lynette Woosley, for the C grade basketball team,
        excelled herself, and Elsie Johnson and Jennifer Johns competed in the G.P.S.
        sports. The top boy and girl of the class are Tony Cheal and Lorraine Neumann.
        We wish all other students in the school every success in the forthcoming
        examinations.
