                    Used part: entire plant.

                    Use: An excellent water absorbent (It can absorb 20 times its weight of water).



                  B-Vascular Plants


                      A- Seedless Vascular Plants

                        They are vascular plants contain xylem and phloem (have no flower or seed).

                        Include 4 divisions.  The largest is pterophyte (Ferns).

                        According to the size of leaves, they are classified into:



                        I- Microphyllous type                        II- Megaphyllous type

                   Small leaves and large stems.              Relatively larger leaves and small stems

                                                              as ferns of division Pterophyta.

                   ▪  Lycopodium                  “division  ▪  Whisk ferns (division Psilophyta) are

                       Lycophyta”  or  club  mosses.              classified  as  reduced  ferns  because
