B. Parasitic disease :-
Schistosomiasis and ancylostomiasis.
Ascariasis.
Protozoal disease: malaria amoebiasis.
Zoonotic disease: which are acquired by handling animals or
animal's products as brucellosis, tetanus.
C. Intoxication by pesticides. Due to exposure to toxic pesticides.
D. Nutritional deficiency disease.
Vitamin A deficiency.
Iron – deficiency anemia.
protein energy malnutrition ( PEM )
Rickets.
2) Higher mortality.
Especially in children below five years due to morbidity and
unsatisfactory health services.
3) Unsatisfactory effectiveness of rural health services.
Due to limited resources and inconvenient system of work,
influencing efficiency of services.
Underutilization: reluctance of the public to make benefit of
available health services.
II. Socioeconomic problems.
The problem arises from low socio-economic level of rural community in
developing countries.
Causes of these problems:
a) Chronic disease, especially parasitic disease and nutritional
deficiency causes impaired health, with low work capacity and
production.
b) The majority of people work in agriculture which is of limited
economic resources.
c) High–fertility motives. Big family size and low per-capita income.
