Problems of slum areas:
High rates of poverty and unemployment.
Are breeding centers for many social problems such as crime,
recreational drugs, and alcoholism.
In many poor countries they are also breeding centers for
disease due to unsanitary conditions.
In many slums, people live in very narrow alleys that do not
allow vehicles (like ambulances and fire trucks) to pass.
The lack of services such as routine garbage collection.
The lack of infrastructure and poor planning on the parts of
government officials.
Many slum dwellers make up the informal economy. This can
include street vending, drug dealing, domestic work, and
prostitution.
Since January 2015, the ministry has launched a campaign to
remove violations detected by the government on the Nile banks.
the government take firm actions against building violations, the
lawbreakers will be referred to the military prosecution under the
emergency law.
