If the car is fitted with a telematics device, you must inform theFMG Accident Management consultant you are dealing with as it may help with the retrieval of the vehicle.Drivers should also inform their line manager at the first opportunity. Please refer to the Abbott Driving at Work Handbook for further policy stipulations regarding break-ins.If any device provided by the company, which includes but not restricted to, laptops, mobiles and tablet devices, is stolen from the vehicle, either during the day when it should be locked in the boot, or left in the car overnight, the driver of the vehicle will be fined. Please see section 32 for further details.TIPS%u2022 At home, ensure all vehicle keys are kept away from open windows & letterboxes, thieves havebeen known to %u2018hook%u2019 the keys without entering the building.%u2022 Valuables should not be left on display but hidden or locked away in the boot during the course ofthe day. Radio front and sat-nav equipment should be removed wherever possible. Valuables, such as sat-nav must be removed completely overnight.%u2022 Please note: Any personal effects are not covered by Abbott%u2019s insurance.%u2022 There is no cover for personal/Abbott possessions left within the vehicle. You should not leave laptop/mobile phones/iPad at any time in the vehicle. %u2022 Remove keys and lock vehicles, even if only attending a cash machine or petrol/EV charging station.%u2022 Always remove keys and lock vehicles, even if only attending a cash machine or petrol/EV charging station%u2022 Use of anti-theft protection pouches/boxes are suggested. 24 COURTESY VEHICLES AND RENTAL VEHICLES POLICY%u2022 Accident replacement vehicles - Drivers should make full use of any courtesy vehicles provided by the repairing garage as additional cost is incurred when hiring a vehicle.%u2022 Breakdown replacement vehicles %u2013 If the driver%u2019s company vehicle cannot be repaired at the roadside,a 48- hour free of charge courtesy vehicle will be provided.%u2022 Routine maintenance & servicing %u2013 Bookings should be made 3-6 weeks in advance to ensure a courtesy vehicle, or a collection/delivery service is available from the servicing garage. Only under exceptional circumstances will Abbott authorise a rental vehicle (e.g. the need to have an automatic for health reasons).%u2022 Faults outside routine maintenance & servicing - If a driver%u2019s vehicle is going to be off-road for longer than the original estimated time and a courtesy car is not available drivers can book a Group A hire vehicle via Arval. If the vehicle is going to be off the road in excess of three days, then drivers may book a 1.4 Group B vehicle or Auto Group D vehicle. Please note it is not possible to have a like for like vehicle electric or otherwise, upgrades will not be authorised in any circumstances.25 ROAD FUND LICENCEArval is responsible for the re-licencing of all Fleet cars.No notification will be sent to the drivers regarding the taxation of their vehicle; however, they will be able to check the status of their cars using the registration number by either contacting Arval or using the DVLA Vehicle online service, available at https://www.vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/
