Please check the mileage has been entered correctly before leaving the garage, the attendant is required to void and redo if they have entered the incorrect mileagereading. If you have a repeated issue with the same garage, then please report this to Arval who will raise it with Allstar on your behalf. Failure to do this could potentially result in company car fines which cannot later be contested. Please report any lost or stolen fuel cards immediately to Arval Driver Support. If your card is stolen, you must also report it to the police and obtain a Crime Reference number. It is the intention of Abbott Fleet Policy when we have a minority of vehicles which are PHEVs a review of fuel cards will be carried out.29 RETURN OF COMPANY CARSDrivers must take care of their Company Cars and are expected to retain their vehicle for the duration of the agreed lease. Any vehicle returning to Arval must have a valid MOT. Each vehicle on return is inspected by a qualified engineer who is trained in the BVRLA damage standard. It is not the person who collects the vehicle.Any damage must be repaired promptly at the time of the incident. Return cars should be in a condition consistent with age, mileage and use (i.e. fair wear and tear). Please see the BVLRA guidelines for more information on this and also the Abbott FAQ%u2019s set out in Appendix 1. Drivers of company cars are advised to photograph the vehicle before return as evidence for any %u2018dispute%u2019 at the point of collection. You cannot report a wear and tear claim (this does not include new damage caused by a specific incident) during your notice period (or within six months of end of lease) as you should have reported it at the time the damage was incurred. This will not be valid when the damage report is generated by IT fleet or Arval and the cost of damage will be passed onto you. If a claim has been logged for a repair and your company car is scheduled for collection, please liaise with the Fleet Coordinator for advice on the next steps. All handbooks, service records, two keys and security devices should be returned with the vehicle. If the vehicle is returned with any of these items missing Arval will levy a penalty charge on Abbott. Abbott will then look to recharge this penalty to the driver by deduction from salary.Vehicles must be cleaned inside and outside when they are returned as Arval charges Abbott %u00a350 forcleaning services upon return. If the car is returned unvaleted, the cost will be recharged to the driver.Where the employee is returning the car, and leaving the Company, the Company reserves the right to withhold %u00a3750 from the last salary to pay for any damage outside of the BVRLA standard for fair wear and tear. This amount can be increased by BHR if the damage is severe. In the event of redundancy where the employee is utilising the company vehicle during the notice period, a retention of %u00a31500 is made until the Company receives the condition report from Arval. Should there be no damage, the money will be reimbursed to the employee the following month.
