13. What are the different alerts from the system

The SMS Modem is an optional feature of CIMCO-MDC. But e-mail alerts are possible to send,
free of charge. Only the internet connection is needed. To name the few, we have listed few
alerts below. The alerts can be customized.

1 If m/c is idle for more than say 10 minutes without any down time reason code

2 If m/c is under “Setting” for more than 10 % of allowed time

3 If total down time in half the shift is more than say 2 Hours. (So that next remaining
half of the shift is taken care)
4 If MSEB power is off & generator power does not start in 5 minutes

5 If the part count in one hour production is 10 % less than the set target

6 If the lunch time exceeds more that 35 minutes

7 If m/c is idle for “No raw material” for more than say 30 minutes

8 In case of FOCAS, if Feed is less than 90% or greater than 110%

To send the automatic email alerts, there are settings in CIMCO. User can set the alerts with
hierarchy. Example : Machine is idle for “No Raw Material”

5 Minutes in No R. M. Email to Shop Supervisor

15 Minutes in No R. M. Email to the Planning Manager Repeat to Supervisor, If needed.
2 Hours in No R. M. Email to General Manager Repeat to Planning Mgr, If needed.

In short, the alerts can be sent to concerned authority who is responsible to take the action
immediately. The whole purpose of digitization & Machine Monitoring is to save time & in-
crease productivity in the same setup.
