GOLF CLUB NAME - VENUE AUDIT
As you can see from the above report, Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort are on the lower end of the scale with
lots of room to increase the average society green fee. The above figures are trending upwards, which
indicates that the market is moving in a positive direction.
However, the average green fees are not going up by much, and in some cases, they are remaining fairly
static. This indicates that while it should be the aim to increase the average society rate, it is not that easy
as the society golf market is still very fragile and competitive.
A solution to this is to implement a dynamic pricing structure which is detailed in the next section.
RECOMMENDATIONS
After analysing the above stats and graphs, it is clear to see that a dynamic pricing structure needs to be
adopted when it comes to setting the 2021 society golf rates.
1. The majority of society bookings take place on a Saturday between 09.30 – 13.00. These tee times should
be sold at a ‘peak rate’. Because the society golf market is very fragile and the industry is very competitive,
it is important to have ‘off-peak’ rates for those societies who don’t want to pay the ‘peak rate’.
Recommended Society Golf Rates for 2021
GOLF CLUB NAME SOCIETY RATES GOLF CLUB NAME SOCIETY RATES
Summer Society Rates Winter Society Rates
Monday - Thursday €30 Monday - Thursday €25
Friday €35 Friday €25
Weekend €40 Weekend €35
Special Offers
Saturday (After 14.00) €35
Sunday (All Day) €35
2. The rate for the hotel/resident’s groups is very low, and it is recommended that this figure is increased to
give a true value of the golf clubs timesheet.
