GOLF CLUB NAME - VENUE AUDIT
3. We recommend the golf club adopt a more proactive approach when it comes to requesting deposits
from groups which requires a follow-up process – this will help with securing the bookings and decrease
the likelihood of late cancellations.
4. We recommend the golf club host a society invitational day much earlier in 2020. We find that September/
October is a good time to host an event like this as it will showcase the course in better condition and it
coincides with the start of the 2021 society golf booking season. When hosting a society invitational day,
it is important not to limit yourself to just inviting ‘repeat’ societies. The golf team should be tasked to get
an agreed number of ‘new’ societies. There is an argument for hosting two society invitational days – one
for the ‘repeat’ societies and one for ‘new’ societies.
5. It is the responsibility of the golf team to ensure the society has an excellent experience while at Tulfarris
Hotel & Golf Resort as this will be a big factor for the group when deciding to return or not. Generally, we
find the simple things matter such as a designated welcome area for each golf society. A standard SOP
list to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day and finally, staff should try and get the society to rebook
for the following year.
6. The society golf sales process is generally good, but it can be improved with the use of a CRM system.
7. We recommend that the golf team set out several upselling products (buggies, food, etc.) to offer the
group at the time of booking or on the run-up to the event.
