My forty two attempts…..

Success is not always what you see at the end….

So now that he got the eligibility, he started appearing in many competitive exam,
but he faced a lot of challenges to crack a written. Every time he arrange money for

appearing a job exam, couldn’t able to crack. In his words “every time I got failed, I
learned”. It took 32 attempts to crack first one and I never look back after that. I

                        cleared every exam I appeared”.

Tapan’s life is not destined to be easy, now that he crack the written but unable to
clear the viva test. But he never lost heart. Time bell rang at his family when his

mother told him to do something. Family condition got worst day by day. He came
to know from his friend that there is a vacancy in Delhi metro, who also helped him

financially to apply for the vacancy. Tapan got the admit card and had a general

ticket to Delhi with his two friends who had sleeper reservation. Tapan could not
able to climb the general boggy as it was over- crowded, train started running so he

decided, this could be his last train & he can’t afford to leave it. He ran to his friends
who boarded on a sleeper boggy and got onboard on a sleeper without reservation.

Finally they are on the Delhi platform, people are moving to their destination. It was

winter season, Tapan was shivering because of heavy cold. In the meantime mobile
vibrated with a message which was a notice about the postponement of Delhi metro

Rail exam. He couldn’t understand, the way he came, facing horrible condition just
to get message of postponing of exam. He was very disappointed and sat down on

the bench of platform, his mind got blank & there was darkness everywhere. His cell
rang, he saw it is his younger brother. He picked up the phone and his brother from

the other side said, Bhai you have qualified for the clerical post which you have

applied at Collectorate office. Tapan’s eyes got blushing but for a little moment
when his brother informed him about the documents verification date which was

going to be held on the next day. You have only 12 hours left. Tapan cut the call
and thought how he could attend the verification, he has only money left in which

he can afford another general ticket, flight even he can’t afford to think. It is

impossible to reach his home town which takes at least 24 hours. He sat on the
platform bench with lot of disappointment.
