In his word “One of my favorite classrooms is ES. Where I learned how to talk in
front of people. I was feeling nervous during public speaking. These ES classes

conducted by TATA Strive Change leaders had taken away this fear. They are very

helpful Each time I got nervous, depressed I talk to them and got the way.”
Accordining to him, he got the inspiration to overcome from all the odd time from his

name which inspires him a lot. “My name is inspired by Utkalamani Gopabandhu
Das ( a freedom fighter of Odisha). He is also born into a poor family. People called

him friends of poverty. If he can Why not I!!!? It’s the name That Justifies my life”.
Meanwhile, ITI got completed. Gopabandhu appeared for the campus drive of

Maruti Suzuki Motors Pvt Ltd. Located at Gujarat. And got selected. He is placed as

a Welder Technician with a salary of 2.1 lac per annum. Also bus and canteen
facilities. Gopandhu gladly said “I took the next day train, traveling in a general

compartment and relocated to Gujarat. Finally joining formality completed and I

started work there. I feel proud that on my first-month salary I recovered my mother's
Earring which she had mortgaged to send me to Gujurat. Now I can help for my

father's further treatment. It has been 8 months since I joined & I am also sending
money for the study of my two younger brothers.

I know this is just the beginning, I have to go a long way. With all convictions he
says….

“It is never the first strike on a rock that breaks it. It is a result of

several strikes. Do not give up”
