TARA
TARA AIRLINE BAGGAGE SCALE
1. Remove Platter and locate silver box underneath
2. Remove cover and locate span pot
3. Place weight on scale and adjust span pot until correct weight is displayed
TARA TR-1
1. Press the cal button, usually behind large screw on back.
2. Display will show -------.
3. Press and release the SETPOINT button.
4. The display will show the raw un-calibrated value.
5. Assure that the scale Is empty, press the ZERO key until the display goes to 0
6. Load the scale with know weight.
7. The display will show a large value, it must be larger than the weight used for cal.
8. When the weight is stable, press the FUNCTION button until the Data lamp lights.
9. Enter the cal weight and press ENTER.
10. The display will return to weigh mode.
TARA TR-1 NK
1. Press the CAL Button, Display goes to ---------
2. Press TARE button
3. No Weight on scale, Press the ZERO button
4. Load Test weight onto scale
5. Press the * button to reset Span
6. Press the PRINT button to increase, TARE to decrease
7. If display is reading correctly, press the CAL button
8. If the display is not reading correctly, press the NET/GROSS button
9. Use the PRINT and TARE buttons to fine tune span
10. Use the NET/GROSS to set the weight and continue adjustment
11. If Scale is reading correctly, Press the CAL button
TARA RM-3
1. Ensure jumper is in correct position (middle=RS232, Bottom=Current loop)
2. Ensure wiring is in correct position
(left to right +cl, -cl, ground, rx)
3. If your cl source is active insert jumper next to terminal and wire center two pins
(left +, right -)
4. Hold LEARN button, countdown
5. When display goes to 00, wait 5 Seconds, then release the LEARN button
6. Display will show -------01 and start showing different numbers
7. When the unit learns, display will read something like this: 02---05, it will not
necessarily be
these numbers
8. Press the learn button
9. –01-- = no data, Light must pulse to indicate data is being
