Vogelhuber, Scheelen - What people really want

how the counterpart, the interlocutor, the customer, the employee
or the applicant would like to be treated. Profiling³ uses
INSIGHTS MDI®, a personality diagnosis tool, to identify your
own personality structure as well as that of other people. We
would like to point this out to you now:

The results of a personality analysis using a diagnostic
tool are always only the first step in getting to know a
person better. Check the results again and again,
compare them with reality by using direct contact with a
person to assess him or her even better.

The results that can be achieved with a personality diagnostic
tool and with Profiling³ always require scrutiny. They do not
represent the landscape, they are not the true reflection of a
person's personality, they are more a map that highlights and
reveals certain specifics, characteristics and traits.

Of course, you cannot subject a customer to a lengthy
personality analysis in order to recognize his or her personality
structure. If you have known a customer for a long time and have
already had several conversations with him or her, or if you have
worked with an employee for a longer period of time, it may well
be possible to assess his or her personality. But you want to
know what makes a customer or employee tick right at the
beginning of a contact. That's why we want to show you how you
can immediately assess the personality structure of an
interlocutor, at least in principle, so that you can adapt your
behavior and your communicative approach accordingly.
