CORE Construction
INTEGRATED LEARNING CENTER
AT UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA
The Integrated Learning Center project, completed for the
University of Arizona, involved the new construction of 107,037
square feet of subterranean instructional and support space
the existing mall in Tucson, Arizona. The building consists of
slab on grade approximately 23’ down from the surface of the
mall, cast-in-place concrete retaining walls, precast concrete
roof structure bearing on cast in-place concrete beams, with
a high performance waterproofing systems. There are two
wide brick-faced stair entrances to the building from the mall
elevation. The Integrated Learning Center is the centerpiece of
the University’s continuing efforts to improve undergraduate
education.
