VILLAS AT VINEGAR HILL
The Villas at Vinegar Hill project, built for the Springfield Housing Authority, included the new
construction of a four-story 86,000 square foot independent living facility located in Springfield, Illinois.
The facility functions as a residential community for seniors in 93 one and two-bedroom apartment
units. The independent living facility was constructed on a spread footings and slab on grade concrete
foundation with a wood paneled structural frame. A brick veneer and cement siding exterior and
asphalt shingled roof completed the construction. The project also featured two computer labs, fitness
center, library, and movie theater as well as landscaping, video surveillance, fire detection systems, and
alarms. Due to CORE’s residential construction experience, the Villas at Vinegar Hill now provides a
welcoming community for income based residents.
