Slime for breakfast - yum!
This is what the discus fish serves up every day for its young.
Without it, the discus fish babies would all die.
Here's what happens: as soon as the eggs hatch the offspring
need food, so the parents exude a nutricious slime from their
own bodies.
This is similar to the way a mammal suckles its young, but also very
different, as the 'milk' comes from the skin of the male and female.
Consider this ... how is it that the discus fish just happens to produce
exactly the right food for its young from a specialized mechanism
which operates at a celular level in its skin?
Did the parents think of this themselves? Did they invent it?
No way.
The ability to produce 'milk' was already encoded in the DNA, by the
mighty Creator God who made the fish .
