What is a Soul, Exactly?

We have described the human soul as an energy that is at
the center of the human spirit. Love is the lifeblood of the
human soul and the conservation of soul energy is
apparently real. The soul is amazing as it contains so much,
and the Human Personality is part of that.

The Human Personality is one of the things in life that I
feel is so complex, but is so commonly passed off in over-
simplistic terms. We love to say that someone is a certain
way for a simple reason, as though folks will always act the
same way depending on certain simple criteria. Not the
case.

To me, the human personality is huge, varied, and not so
easily described or understood. It is a big part of the energy
that makes up the human soul and describes our very
essence of being.

After much thought on the subject, and this might be an
over-simplification as well, it seems to me that the human
personality is made up of primarily three large, complex
parts. One being a person's home and family environment
while growing up, another being in the DNA the person's
ancestors passed on to them, and finally the last one, the
wild card if you will, the content that came with the
person's soul when they were born, which would include
aspects of previous spiritual growth (or not).

Looking at families you know well, it is often very easy to
see where certain aspects of their personality came from.
Oh, he has his Father's this or his Mother's that. These
mannerisms are obvious family traits and so on. The line
can blur between environment and DNA sometimes, but it
all comes from somewhere.
