someone at a restaurant to taking the time to stop and help
someone in need - and any other opportunities in between
including finding your soul-mate in life — give people an
opportunity to freely spread the most important thing in the
world - Love.
Why is this important? It is important because if we
understand this simple truth and act on it on a regular basis
we are allowing ourselves to freely participate in the
spiritual growth of almost anyone we will ever meet, as
well as experience our own enlightenments as we go.
Another win-win situation and it is such a wonderful
feeling to know that so many opportunities for
enlightenment potentially exist virtually anywhere you may
be, and with anyone you may be with.
Once I understood this I found myself actively seeking out
opportunities to exercise this form of enlightenment. It has
only done good for my life and the people around me, and I
hope it does for you, too.
Who Is Everyone Else?
Our True Purpose Here
Earlier, when I used my "intelligent alien" supposition to
imagine what our world might look like to an outsider, I
summed it up with what seems to be our most obvious
attribute as a species: our compulsion to socialize. What
this means is that by all known evidence, we were
apparently designed to live, work, play, and do pretty much
everything we do with other people. Since this seems to be
our most base instinct, it only follows that learning to get
along with each other, and perhaps even more importantly,
learning to truly share our deepest feelings with each other
