But what about when a personality trait has no obvious
family lineage? What about when a person exhibits
something that is far removed from the obvious? We have
all seen it and it is the proof of the human soul personality
content.
You may be asking yourself, why is this important? OK, it
is important because we too often do not give each other
the latitude or freedom to be who we really are. We are so
quick to categorize and expect certain things from people
that they are not given a chance to be themselves. To
experience spiritual growth, we have to treat each other
with love and respect, and that means letting folks be who
they are meant to be and we will do that much better if we
understand how complex the human personality really is.
When folks deny each other this simple freedom, both
parties will experience a suppression of spiritual growth.
The person who denies the other's right to be their own
person is suppressing another soul's spiritual growth and
the person's soul being oppressed cannot advance if he is
being held back from his true destiny. It is a lose-lose
situation.
Examples are parents who have decided exactly who their
children should be long before the children actually know
who they are and pressure them to be something that they
are not. Folks experiencing sexual awakening and finding
that they are anything but heterosexual will often find
themselves in the same boat (more on that later), along with
the ones that choose to challenge them. People that are not
following in their parent's footsteps as expected or who
have decided not to have children are derided and vilified.
There are many other examples but you get my drift.
