                                Causes Remedies

Poorly finished dies. Polish dies properly.

Deep concave punches. Use flat punches.

High turret speed Reduce speed of turret (Increase
                                                                         dwell time).

               Dwell time
In compression is the amount of time it takes to achieve maximum penetration of

the upper punch in the die. (Scan the QR code)

Increasing dwell time helps minimize the risk of air entrapment as it expels air

               from within the tablet.

Failure to sufficiently compress the air out can negatively impact the tablet’s

tensile strength and increase the risk of lamination or tablet capping.

               2- Cracking:
Small, fine cracks observed on the upper and lower central surface of tablets, or

very rarely on the sidewall, are referred to as Cracks.
