4- Sticking:
Refers to the tablet material adhering to the die wall or punch surface.

Reason: Improperly dried or improperly lubricated granules.

5- Picking:

Is the term used when a small amount of material from a tablet is removed off

from the tablet-surface and sticks to punch face.

The problem is more prevalent on the upper punch faces than on the lower ones.

Picking, is a type of sticking that happens when the granules stick to the design

embedded in the punch tip such as in lettering or logos.

Reason: Picking is of particular concern when
**punch tips have engraving or embossing letter

** The granular material is improperly dried.
