6.14 Characteristics of Letter of Acceptance

Quantity surveyor representative of client side will issued letters of acceptance to
contractor who succeed. It must be issued before the expiry of the validity period. With
the issuance of a tender acceptance letter the client and contractor have entered into a

contractual relationship. If the contractor withdrew after the letter of acceptance of the
tender was issued and refused to start work, it means the contractor has breach the

contract.
The contractor who commits this offense will be blacklisted and may have his
license suspended. Earnest money also would be detained if this it become condition

during bidding process. In the form of letter of acceptance, usually containing details as
