INWARD TRANSFORMATION
our body. If we preach or teach, we will use our body.
If we lay hands on the sick, we will use our body.
Although death entered into the human race at
the Fall in Genesis 3, God did not abandon our
bodies. In fact, He intended to indwell our bodies.
Through the new birth, He now resides within our
bodies.
“What? Do you not know that your body is the
temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you
have received from God, and that you are not your
own?” 1 Corinthians 6:19
In what ways can I better apprehend and act like
God is living in my body?
DAY FIVE:
GOD OWNS YOUR BODY
God created the first human body with His own
hands. He breathed life into Adam. Since then, He
has formed every one of us in our mother’s womb.
The believer recognizes all of this. Also that Jesus
paid a tremendous price to restore to us what Adam
lost in Eden. Our only reasonable response to this
knowledge is to resist the pull of sin and offer our
body to God in all that we do (in our bodies) in this
life. That is some truth as what Paul was telling the
believers at Rome and Corinth.
“You were bought with a price. Therefore glorify
God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
1 Corinthians 6:20
In what ways in this life can I acknowledge to God
His gift of my physical human body?
