REFORMATION OF THE MIND BY THE SPIRIT AND THE WORD
DAY SIX:
THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE BODY
Paul told the believers to present their bodies to
God. Our bodies are the temple for the Holy Spirit.
He indwells our bodies. He resides in us, giving us
the power, love, and self-control we need to live unto
God in this life effectively. This indwelling means,
what we could not do on our own, we can now do
with Him. We are no longer on our own. We can
exercise the self-discipline we could not before He
came to dwell within us. We must no longer view our
bodies as something we cannot control. God is with
us and in us. We can now exercise the self-control
we should to keep the temple of the Holy Spirit
appropriately.
“For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of
power, and love, and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:7
“But the fruit of the Spirit is… self-control”
Galatians 5:22-23
How can I exercise more self-discipline regarding

changed in our minds here, we will not be able to
fulfill His perfect will in this life.
When we are born again, our human spirit
receives the life of God. God brings new life to the
