he additional contracts we won allowed us to hire a fulltime
bookkeeper. Jerome interviewed and hired Deborah around the
same time we moved to the tenth floor. This irritated Shannon,

the fact that the new accountant, a petite middle-aged white woman
would be moving on the tenth floor with us. This meant Shannon was

moving further away from the executive team.

I soon came to find out that Deborah was just as manipulative as

Shannon. She set Shannon up to be fired by Jerome. She told Jerome
that Shannon had threatened her and was spreading the confidential

information to other employees. Jerome tried to warn and protect

Shannon, but she continued to push the envelope until he had to fire
her. He was trying to offer her a severance package and the heifer
came back and wanted us to pay her car note because Jerome had

committed to that before she was fired. Of course, Jerome denied it,

but I know he agreed to it, just to try to keep her loyal to him.
