down $40,000, we were scheduled to break ground and build my
dream home. I was adamant about having the land prayed over before
and after the construction broke ground. Leroy asked a co-worker
who was also a pastor to bless the land.
In my dream home, the master bedroom with a sitting area and
fireplace covered half the house. The master bedroom closet space
was to die for; it was as large as another bedroom, and, of course, there
was a Jacuzzi hot tub. There were three additional bedrooms, each
with its private bathroom, a formal dining room, library, formal living
room, and family room, the basement was partially finished, which
also had the potential for another bedroom and full bath. In
September, we moved into the dream house that eventually became
my nightmare.
