Algebra Infused Projects

Participants will be given the opportunity to learn about a plethora of projects that

can be used in any high school math classroom. Projects vary in length and rigor

and provide students the opportunity to connect with mathematics. Participants

will take part in a polynomial home building activity.

Does Your Teaching Measure Up?: Ways to

Incorporate Children's Literature with Early Grades

Measurement Concepts

This presentation will provide participants with ideas for using children’s literature

and manipulatives to teach early grades measurement concepts. The ideas presented

will help educators build students’ conceptual understanding of measurement, while

promoting active learning and incorporating writing. Some virtual tools will also be
utilized.
