Secondary Mathema�cs Learning
Forma�ve assessments guide instruc�on and increase student achievement by
providing academic feedback to the teacher, the student, and the student’s
caregiver. In this session, atendees will discuss secondary math specific forma�ve
assessments; they will also receive forma�ve assessment resources to use in their
classroom. Grades 8 - 12

The Power of Ques�oning and Inves�ga�on in the Math
Classroom
I will illustrate how modifying ques�oning methods can boost student thinking,
comprehension, and engagement. Furthermore, I will demonstrate how
integra�ng inquiry into daily math lessons can build higher-order thinking
processes. Grades 6 - 12
