TYPES OF TRANSACTIONS THAT CAN BE PERFORMED ON AMAZON
Tracking orders or products – Amazon track goods and services to customers till the packages are
fully delivered. Customers can also keep track on their packages after the order has been shipped.
Customers can track down their parcel by entering the correct Amazon tracking number and order
number. In a case were the customer has forgotten the tracking number, they can track their parcel by
providing their full name, Zip code, email addresses used for purchasing the products and, their personal
day-to-day phone number. By completing this form, Amazon updates their system hourly to make sure
that the item has been delivered or still in the delivery truck. After the parcel has been delivered to the
receiver, the deliver uses an electronic device to collect data information from the receiver, to verify and
to make sure that the parcel is delivered to the right customer. The device notifies Amazon and update
is done and notification is sent to the customer to notify them that the item has been delivered.
Checking Stock – Amazon ship large goods and services to other business entrepreneurs. Their goods in
stock are shipped to different countries around the world. To check for their goods in stock, update is
required to ensure that there is more goods in their warehouses, so that customers gets the right
products they are looking for. Checking in stock helps Amazon to ensure that customer gets the right
service and that customer is not delayed in case where the product is unavailable in their warehouses.
Bidding or Auction transaction – Bidding is an offer to set a price by a business for a product or a
demand for something to be done. Bidding is used to determine the cost or value of something. Amazon
allows customers to bid on some items. Amazon has a great reputation selling books, music and other
entertainment products. When customers buy or sell with Amazon’s auctions, they are guaranteed the
safety and satisfaction that all Amazon’s services offer. Amazon has a good auction service; however,
they lack some additional user features offered by the higher ranked auction websites like opening a
store or adding to an item’s description. In addition, navigating through the category layout is time
consuming and many products are missing pictures. Amazon has an excellent buying system that
presents useful information about each auction item including the seller, when the auction started,
where the item is located, the number of bids and payment options. One disappointing feature
associated with Amazon auctions is the deadline countdown clock. Customers have to refresh the page
every few moments for the clock to reflect real time.
