cents plus 5 percent of the final sale, including shipping and handling, for all items sold. There is also the
Pro Merchant Subscription for $39.99 a month for sellers that often list many products. Amazon has
several feedback and account management options. They encourage feedback and recommend that all
buyers check seller feedback prior to bidding. Through customer’s account, they can manage all the
items they’ve sold, bid on and won. However, customers cannot save favorite categories, sellers or
searches.
Rental Transaction – Customers can also rent items, such as, textbook, music CDs, Movies, etc.
Customers can go to their account and select their Textbook Rentals, where they can view their due
dates, extend the rental period, purchase the rental textbook and initiate a return. In case where
customer is unable to return the rental textbook on the due date, an extra charges is added to the
customer’s bidding or rental charges. And agreement is made between amazon and a customer.
Customers can receive new or a used textbook, based on availability. All used textbooks will be in
acceptable rental condition, as determined by Amazon. If a customer is not satisfied with the book they
receive, they can return it for a refund within 30 days. Customers can also use their gift card balance to
pay off their rental charges. Amazon standard shipping rates apply when a customer rent textbooks;
standard 3-5 business days, two-day, and one-day. Orders are fulfilled by Amazon and are eligible for
free shipping on orders over $49 and Prime free two day shipping.
