This Handbook is not a contract of employment and does not confer contractual rights, expressed or implied, upon any
employee, nor does it guarantee employment for any period of time. All employees are employed at-will and either the
employee or Hercules may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause, and with or with-
out notice. This Manual supersedes all prior policies or procedures as to subjects addressed in the manual and all prior
representations oral or written, except those signed in writing by the Executive Vice President of Hercules or other au-
thorized individual.
The policies, benefits and rules, as explained in this Manual, may be changed at Hercules’ discretion and option and
without notice from time to time as business, employment legislation, and economic conditions dictate.
WHAT HERCULES EXPECTS FROM YOU
Your first responsibility is to know your job duties. Secondly, you are expected to cooperate with management and your
fellow employees and maintain a good team attitude. How you interact with fellow employees and how you accept di-
rection can affect the success of your department. In turn, the performance of one department can impact the entire ser-
vice offered by Hercules. Consequently, whatever your position, you have an important assignment; perform every task
to the very best of your ability. The result will be better performance for the company overall, and personal satisfaction
for you.
You are encouraged to grasp opportunities for personal development that are offered to you. This Manual offers insight
on how you can positively perform to the best of your ability to meet and exceed Hercules expectations. We hope this
Manual will assist you throughout your tenure with the company.
We depend on you---your success is our success. Please don't hesitate to ask questions. We will gladly answer them and
assist you in any way!

with regard to hiring, working conditions, benefits and privileges of employment, compensation, training, opportunities
for advancement including upgrading and promotion, transfers and terminations of employment including layoffs and

accordance with federal, state and local laws without regard to race, color, sex, age, religion/creed, national origin, veter-

Hercules requires that all supervisory and management personnel clearly understand and practice equal employment op-
portunity. Acts of discrimination will not be tolerated and will result in disciplinary action up to and including dis-
charge.
We ask that all employees add their support to the spirit of equal opportunity in Hercules.
If an employee believes that he/she has been treated in any way inconsistent with this policy, he/she should inform the
Human Resource Director and their Direct Supervisor so that appropriate action may be taken. Employees may raise
concerns and bring forth complaints without fear of retaliation or disciplinary action.
