IMMIGRATION LAW COMPLIANCE
Hercules is committed to employing only United States citizens and aliens who are authorized to work in the United
States and does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of citizenship or national origin. In compliance with the Immi-
gration Reform and Control Act of 1986, each new employee, as a condition of employment, must complete the Em-
ployment Eligibility Verification Form (I-9) and present documentation establishing identity and employment eligibil-
ity.
FAIR HOUSING CODE OF CONDUCT
Hercules strictly abides by all federal, state and local fair housing laws and adopts these laws as its Fair Housing Code
of Conduct.
Federal laws prohibit discrimination against any person on the basis of their race, color, religion, sex, familial status,
national origin or disability in the terms, conditions, privileges, advertising, sale or rental of a dwelling. State and local
fair housing laws may also extend this protection to persons on the basis of their marital status, sexual orientation, age
or other disposition.
Accordingly, all employees of Hercules shall conduct themselves according to this Code of Conduct at all times and
shall conduct business with all residents and potential residents fairly and without regard to their status. Any employee
who violates this Code of Conduct may be terminated.
OPEN DOOR POLICY
In order to ensure effective working relations, it is important that employment concerns are resolved before they poten-
tially develop into serious issues. Most incidents resolve themselves naturally; however, if a situation persists that you
believe is detrimental to you or to the Company, you should follow the procedure described here for bringing your com-
plaint to management’s attention.
The company’s Open Door Policy is available to each employee and no member of management is too busy to hear
from you. If you are uncomfortable speaking with your manager directly, you may choose to speak with your Regional
Manager and/or contact the Human Resources department.
NON - HARASSMENT POLICY
Harassment of applicants and employees on the basis of sex (including sexual harassment) or race, color, age, religion/
creed, national origin, veteran status, disability, citizenship, or any other basis prohibited by law is unacceptable and
will not be tolerated. Harassment includes words, jokes, verbal abuse and epithets, degrading comments, the display of
offensive objects and pictures, and other conduct that an individual might reasonably find to be offensive. Hercules Re-
