Best Student Paper Competition Student Outing

systems (smasIs). entrants were judged by a committee of smart Student Networking Lunch
materials and structures experts. finalists are required to present their 11:50am - 12:50pm tuesday, september 22nd
papers at the student best paper sessions on monday, september 21, pick up lunch at mountain view dining room and meet in White river II
2015. All inalists will be honored during lunch on Wednesday, September
23, 2015. network with your colleagues from around the world by participating in
lively discussions to meet new people and initiate future collaborations.
Best Student Hardware Competition

organized the best student Hardware paper competition as part of the keep the party going at the post-banquet game night. everyone is

test your knowledge of random facts during the trivia lunch. participants
are encouraged to form multicultural, inter-generational teams by sitting at
the same lunch table. a quizmaster will guide the teams through a
multi-round “pub” style trivia competition, which covers a wide array of
non-technical topics.
High School Outreach

High school students from colorado springs will be attending the
conference to participate in a smart materials and structures mini-Work-
shop. the students will learn about smart materials, complete hands-on
activities with smart materials, and tour the hardware competition. please
contact tizoc cruz-Gonzalez (tizoc@umich.edu) if you are interested in
volunteering for any part of the mini-workshop.
