     Project Process Groups


          ®
     PMI  defines project management as a series of processes that are executed to apply
     knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to the project activities to meet the project

     requirements. These processes have been organized into five process groups:
     Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing. Each process
     group contains at least two individual processes (some have many more) that have
     their own inputs to the process, tools and techniques, and outputs. For example, the
