                                                                  Paulina:  That  is  absolutely  the  case,  but  you  need  to

                                                                  and soft skills that you keep hearing about. The difference is
                                                                  that they can test you on hard skills during the interview process,
                                                                  but the soft skills are less defined but they assess your ability to
                                                                  play well with others, communicate your ideas in a way that is
                                                                  understood by your audience, and work well with a team. So
                                                                  that is the power of combination. Your technical skills are table
                                                                  stakes, you need to have whatever skills they're looking for in
                                                                  that marketplace. I can certainly speak about Toronto, because
                                                                  it is, in some ways, a very tough market because we have a lot
                                                                  of very highly educated individuals. So many people have their
                                                                  CFA charters which is super hard to get, or a Masters of Finance
                                                                  or other certifications, and this will tell the employer that you
                                                                  are  agile  and  able  to  pick  up  new  skills  quickly.  If  you've
                                                                  managed to get a role fairly soon out of undergrad it is because
                                                                  your technical skills are more in demand with the first position
                                                                  and thus take a higher weight in the hiring managers process.
                                                                  The more you progress within your career, the more important
                                                                  soft skills become. So it really is about that combination.  That
                                                                  soft skills are culture-dependent too, the attitudes and behaviors
                                                                  are certainly affected by where you are from and where you're
                                                                  looking,  so  it  would  be different  if  you're  looking  in  China,
                                                                  Canada, Poland, Japan or any other country.
