POLICIES
ACCEPTABLE TECHNOLOGY USE POLICY FOR EMPLOYEES
Renbrook places great responsibility on employees and students when its technology is used. Renbrook
views its technology and technology resources as tools to be used by employees and students to facilitate
their work. All users are expected to use these tools in appropriate ways.
Renbrook reserves the right to monitor and/or restrict use of email and Internet sites in accordance with the
policies outlined by the school administration. These policies are subject to review and users will be notified
about any changes to these agreements. Any violators of the policy will be subject to disciplinary action.
Users who do not follow the policies listed below are subject to revocation of technology privileges and may
be disciplined, up to and including suspension or removal from Renbrook School.
Violations of the Technology Policy include the following:
1. Using another Renbrook employee's password without their consent.
2. Possessing any software or program that can defeat or disable any security-related program.
Disabling the school's antivirus application or installing another antivirus application is not acceptable,
as having multiple antivirus applications running on one machine will cause software issues. This
includes the use of proxies to bypass content filtering. Possession will be interpreted as intent to use
it on Renbrook's system.
3. Tampering with, damaging, or stealing technology hardware or software. Users may not intentionally
introduce a computer virus, or other software, or engage in an activity that would result in damage
to files, disks, or other storage media.
4. Failing to honor software licensing and copyright laws. Copying or possessing software without
permission whether it belongs to a student, faculty, or to Renbrook.
5. Maintaining proprietary Renbrook School information of any non-school owned device.
6. Failing to abide by the guidelines for the use of email and the internet, as described in the
Communications Policy.
BLOOD BORNE PATHOGENS – EXPOSURE CONTROL PLAN
School's inevitably end up dealing with bodily fluids of a variety of sorts in the normal function of day to day
life. These fluids require special handling for the safety of our employees, and other children. Renbrook School
maintains a comprehensive plan for the control of Blood Borne Pathogens including personal protection, clean-
up, and disposal. Our Buildings and Grounds staff has been trained in the proper techniques for this control
and clean-up kits are strategically stored throughout the school to facilitate quick response and resolution.
Please involve this department in any response to circumstances involving such materials by contacting the
Front Desk at extension 210.
CAMPUS SAFETY AND SECURITY
Every effort is made to maintain a safe and orderly school environment, and we place a strong emphasis on
safety education and attention to preemptive measures for students and staff. These measures include
mandatory drills and exercises to prepare students and staff for emergency situations such as fire, inclement
weather, and shelter-in-place emergencies.
