During a campus closing, all school employees assist the Head of School. All employees belong to one of four
groups: Crisis Management Team, Finance and Administration, Operations, or Education. Details are found in
the Campus Closing Plan.

Early Dismissal Policy:
In the event of an early closing of school, the following procedure will be in effect:
Lower School
Preschool – Junior Kindergarten
All Early Learning Center students will report to the Music room for dismissal. Faculty will accompany students
to the Music Room and wait with the students until every student has been picked up. Faculty regularly
assigned to dismissal duty will report to the Foley Lot. Family names will be communicated via two-way radio
from Foley Lot to the Music room for an orderly dismissal. In addition to faculty, school personnel will be
available to assist with dismissal.
Kindergarten – Grade 5
All Lower School students with a sibling in the Early Learning Center will be dismissed from the Early Learning
Center Music room. All other Lower School students will be dismissed from Stedman Auditorium. Faculty will
accompany students either to the Early Learning Center Music room or Stedman Auditorium and wait with their
students until every student has been picked up. Faculty regularly assigned to dismissal duties will report to the
Upper Crossover. Family names will be communicated via two-way radio from the Upper Crossover to Stedman
Auditorium for an orderly dismissal. In addition to faculty, school personnel will be available to assist with
dismissal.
Upper School
Grades 6-8
All Upper School students with a sibling in the Early Learning Center will be dismissed from the Early Learning
Center Music Room. All Upper School students with a sibling in Kindergarten-Grade 5 will be dismissed from
Stedman Auditorium. All other Upper School students will report to Lower Stedman for dismissal via the east
side of the building. Faculty will accompany students either to the Early Learning Center Music Room, Stedman
Auditorium, or Lower Stedman and wait with their students until every student has been picked up. This is
necessary in order to alleviate traffic congestion and utilize two traffic patterns to expedite dismissal. Faculty
