regularly assigned to dismissal duties will report outside on the East side of Stedman building. Family names
will be communicated via two-way radio from outside Stedman. In addition to faculty, school personnel will be
available to assist with dismissal.
In the event the Foley Parking Lot is not accessible due to icy roads, all students from the
Early Learning Center and siblings will report to Stedman Auditorium for dismissal.
Buses:
All students that normally travel on either the West Hartford or Glastonbury bus will be accompanied to East
side of the Stedman Building, by faculty assigned to bus dismissal duty, for pick-up.
Faculty:
All faculty must remain on campus and be available for assistance in the dismissal process (assigned by the
Division Head). The Division Head will be responsible for releasing faculty for the day.
Maintenance Staff:
All maintenance personnel will be outside facilitating traffic flow, keeping roadways clear of snow or in their
designated dismissal locations. They are not the primary resource for dismissal.
All Other School Personnel:
All other school personnel, especially members of the Leadership Team, should be available throughout the
process. Members of the Faculty and Staff will be assigned to assist as follows:
Early Learning Center: Stacy Routhier, Jane Livziey
Lower School: James Ebert, Kerry Doherty, Sue Werner
Upper School: Beverly Fitzsousa, Peter Reynolds
Front Desk: Jennifer Caswell
All employees who have specific duties, either inside or outside, should have radios with them at
all times for communication.
Any students that have not been picked up by a parent after the majority have left, should move to Stedman
Auditorium to await their parent. A member of the Leadership Team will remain with them until picked up.
CRISIS PLANS
Renbrook updates and administers a comprehensive Crisis Plan. This is the framework that the administration
uses to guide response to a wide variety of potential disruptions to our normal daily functions. Those who
have a role in this plan, have been part of its development, and understand when and where they will be
called upon to act.
Much attention is given in this plan to the mechanisms for the dissemination of information both within and
outside the Renbrook community. The flow of that information needs to follow the protocol so that a
consistent and accurate message is conveyed to all corners of our community and into the community at large.
The plan is available for everyone to review and is available in the Handbook and Plans section in FirstClass
and on the Faculty/Staff Resource Board on myRenbrook.
FIRE PLANS
Renbrook has multiple alarm zones that monitor all buildings. Fire drills can be conducted either in one zone at
a time or in all zones simultaneously.
