New Matter Intake
Report Info
• Complete the fields as necessary.
Route To
• To be used only if an office has taken in a conflict or matter for another office.
• Enter the last name of the person the matter is to be routed to for further completion.
• Example:
o Columbus Office Manager receives a matter through S-E-A’s website but the loss address is in Colorado.
o The manager can enter the information into the New Matter Intake and route it to an Admin in the
Denver office, who can then call the client to obtain the necessary information and submit the conflict
check.
• To see the results for the conflict check before routing, do not enter anything into the field until receiving notice
the conflict check has cleared.
o With the Matter on the screen, enter the name of the person the matter is being routed to.
o This form will then show on their Dashboard.
o The new recipient should go into the form, change the office location and update the SEA Associate
Assigned:
• Once the required information has been entered, select Submit:
Obtain a Search ID/New Business Intake
• If a conflict search is not needed (i.e., VIMF Testing or Candle Testing project where there are no related
parties), check the box next to No Search Necessary as illustrated in the following image.
• Otherwise, ONLY select SUBMIT on this screen. Do not make any other changes. It is imperative to submit this
screen and not cancel. A conflict search will only be performed when this form is submitted.
• This screen is necessary to obtain a Conflict Search ID No. This step exists so that the Conflicts Group can locate
the search:
