The importance



           of acid/alkaline











               The optimal pH balance of our body is 7.4, and our body works hard at maintaining this level

               of balance. The problem is, when we consume many acid-forming foods: such as grains and
               other processed empty carbs, it begins to offset our acid/alkaline ratio. In order to maintain

               homeostasis, our body will then find other ways to make up for the imbalance, such as
               leaching calcium reserves from other parts of the body: like your bones and teeth. This can

               further lead to health problems and the development of osteoporosis.

               How do we prevent this from happening? As simple as balancing out each meal you
               consume with alkaline-forming food choices! What are alkaline-forming food choices? All

               sources of fresh fruits and vegetables, especially greens!

               The top 5 highest alkaline foods are spinach, kale, cucumber, broccoli & avocado! Our body
               thrives in an alkaline environment and once regulated, weight management issues will

               disappear and your body will naturally lose excess weight!
